Monday, November 4th, was the beginning of our last week in Edina, Minnesota. We began the day with our usual routine, which was going to Mr. Baron’s room to assist the Advanced Placement German students in learning about Eastern Germany prior to and after the fall of the Berlin Wall. After our discussion, the English/German students were able to read aloud the last chapter of their book, Olli aus Ossiland, to the German students. It was quite enjoyable! After accompanying and assisting Mr. Baron’s 1st hour class, we were scheduled to go hit golf balls at the local driving range. Unfortunately, due to poor weather, we were unable to participate in this exact activity. Instead of golfing, we we’re able to watch another English movie that was filmed in Minnesota called, New in Town. Once we finished the movie, we went back to Mr. Baron’s room to discuss German culture with his 5th hour students. The minute the bell rang; some of us began to get hyped up for the major Monday night football showdown that was going to happen at 7 p.m. A few German and American students met up to watch the football game and some “booing” and cheering had occurred. Maybe even some tears! (from the packer fans) Overall, it was an amazing day!
